Berdzar completes senior season at Wooster College

WOOSTER, Ohio — Colin Berdzar, a graduate of Montezuma-Cortez High School and soccer standout, recently complete his fourth and final season of eligibility with the College of Wooster’s men’s soccer team.

As a senior forward and team captain with the Scots, Berdzar played in all 17 matches and started eight in 2001. Although he did not score a goal on any of his nine shots, Berdzar did record three assists on the year.

For his career, Berdzar totaled 25 points on eight goals and nine assists in 68 matches.

As a team, Wooster put together its second straight double-digit win season behind seventh-year head coach Graham Ford. The Scots finished with an 11-6 overall record. That marked the most victories for the program since the 1992 campaign when it won 13 matches. Additionally, the Scots equaled last season’s North Coast Athletic Conference finish by coming in fifth place with a 4-5 record in league play.

A communications major, Berdzar is the son of Jacklyn Berdzar of Dolores and Peter Berdzar.

Founded in 1866, the College of Wooster is an independent liberal arts institution with a rich tradition of academic excellence. Wooster has an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 1,700 men and women and has a student-faculty ratio of less than 12:1.
