STAFF REPORT
Tony Cornfield of Cortez was the lone winner of last week’s
National Football League contest. He missed just two for a 12-2 record.
Cornfield has played the game a number of years but has
not won recently. Efforts to reach Cornfield were by phone not successful.
He picked San Diego to win and Minnesota to win but both lost.
Several missed three and many missed four. So it was a
good week for the prognosticators.
Another contest will appear in today’s paper. The
graders were late with results and the sports writer was gone.
