Jubal Hall of Cortez almost correctly picked the score in
the tiebreaker of this week’s National Football League weekly contest.
The final score was Minnesota 28, Giants 16. He guessed Minnestoa 28,
Giants 17.
Three others missed three: Robert Laymon, Patsy Hartt, and
John McCormack.
"I just look at the teams. This one looks good and
that one looks good. They are just random picks. I really have no method
to my choosing," he said Wednesday morning.
"I go with my heart sometimes. I like Seattle and
Oakland," Hall remarked.
"I have only been playing the contest for about a
year. I came close a couple times but I have never won," he noted.
Most of the favorites won again this week. Perhaps a mild
upset was Atlanta defeating Green Bay at home. Local favorite, Denver,
lost this week. Many prognosticators like to go with their heart rather
than gut feeling.
Another contest will appear in Tuesday’s edition of the Cortez
Journal.
