BICYCLE RIDERS come
down the hill from the starting gate on Sunday afternoon at the
new Cortez BMX Track, located near Parque de Vida off Empire Road.
The first moto-cross ever was held at the local track.
Approximately 50 riders and about 100 fans were on hand for the
event. It did not go off without some gliches, though. A computer
program would not cooperate fully and run the printer. The first
races were delayed for more than hour. A full slate of BMX races
will be scheduled in Cortez next season. |
