Zetroc Open Disc Golf tourney draws many

The 2001 Zetroc Open Disc Golf Tournament was held Oct. 6 at the new Centennial Park Disc Golf Course.

This was a 36-hole tournament with a par of 116 (shots). Players competed in three divisions.

Stan Patterson won the Advanced Division with a 9-under-par 107. Robert Middleton was next, but finished a distant seven shots behind at 114. Jerry Olivier took third with 120, Chris Hickey came in fourth at 121 while Tad Johnson finished in fifth at 124. Dave Rightley followed at 128, Brandon Shubert 129, Stephan Lazare 138, and Dana Galyon 141.

A lot of players competed in the Novice Division. John Rowley won with a 122. Will Cantrell wrapped up second place at 125. Taking third was Abran Martinez at 129. Acie Patterson finished in fourth at 135 and Brad Wright placed fifth in 138. Billy Innis came in sixth with a 139, followed by Kevin Cason at 141, Chris Correll 142, Jesse Mason 146, Frank Faman 148, Clay Mustoe 153, Michael Maloy 158, John Innis 159, and Kenneth Cason 168.

Cambria Hanson won the Women’s Division title by default as she was the only player. She recorded a score of 140.
