Kathy Martinez of Cortez won last week’s National
Football League contest which appears Tuesdays in the Cortez Journal.
Martinez missed three but was the closest one who picked the tiebreaker.
Martinez could not be reached at her home number on
Wednesday morning for comment. She will receive a $50 check in the mail.
A lot of people thought Indianapolis would beat New
England, but the Patriots had no problems winning. Many prognosticators
went with their heart and chose Denver to win. The Broncos had a tough day
against Baltimore after being tied in the third quarter 13-all. The
Ravens, defending Super Bowl champs, scored a TD in the final quarter for
the victory.
It was the closest contest to date.
Kathy Martinez 10 right, 3 wrong.
