championship feeling

| THE CORTEZ SEVENTH
GRADE Amateur Athletic Union basketball team recently won the
Bayfield championship. Bryson McCabe made three free throws with
less than 15 seconds to play to give Cortez a two-point win over
Durango in the title game. McCabe was named the Most Valuable
Player of the tournament. Kyle Perkins was chosen
All-Tournament. They are (top row, left to right): Jake
