Drivers getting points

Fairgrounds Speedway racing action has a little more than a month remaining of the auto dirt season.

The drivers have been piling up points.

Nick DeVilbiss, in car no. 42, holds a slight lead in the Dwarf Car standings through July 20th with 326 points. Raymie Btristow (no. 6) is right behind with 323. Shane DeVilbiss (43) is next with 308. Jay Kibel (89) has 300 while Harry Nelson (14) has 263.

Dale Kibel (45) follows back with 251 while Zane DeVilbiss (4) is next with 236. Jerrett Guillory (47) has 196, followed by Billy Kibel (68) 172, LeRoy Johnson (17) 127, Kevin Vick (78) 63, Shannon Haun (0) 61, Casey Hofer (12C) 40, Matthew Clugston (55) 39, and Jim Sweet (20) 39, J.D. Gardner (64) 38, Mike Connor (19) 37, Bryan Tittelson (21C) 37, Jim Ward (2J) 34, Jon Phelps (71Y) 33, Josh Grady (12) 32, Bruce Gibson (2C) 29, Kenny Clugston (7) 28, Jessie Chinn (44Y) 23, Cary Hugler (420) 22, and M.E. Eddleman (81) 21.

Craig Nelson (11X) is leading the way in the International Motor Contest Association-sanctioned Modifieds. He has 335 points. Dennis Rieb (00) is chasing him with 307. Robert Gallegos (11) has accumulated 303, Larry Cornell (18T) has 298 and rounding out the top is Rick Hobbs (82) with 292.

John Hank (32) leads off the next five with 292, Mike Farley (4) has 270, Paul Milliano (45) follows with 243, Bucky Knipp (29) 163, Willard Price (38) 130, and Daniel Christensen (17) 103.

Billy Shaaphok (62) is currently leading the Mini Stocks with 352 points. Steve McDaniel (50) is resting in second place at 315. Jimmy Scott (1) has 303, Matthew Smith (44) 131, and Levi Hill (80) 130. Jimmy Wilson (7) is in the next group with 141, followed by Vern Rucker (911) 140, Daniel Nelson III (18) 97, Brian Dattage (44) 96, Robert Petrose (77) 67, Ryan Henley (9) 64, Christine Yates (10) 33, Jim Wilson (7) 32, and Steve Perlenski (76) 31.

There will be no racing on Aug. 3 as originally scheduled. The next races are Aug. 10 for the Mini Stock Shootout, Aug. 17, and Aug. 24. The Season Championships are slated Aug. 31.
