April 21, 2001 The Cortez Women’s Golf Association officially kicked off the 2001 schedule with a play day and a luncheon meeting on Tuesday, April 17. Several women hit the course and then ate at the Cortez Elks Lodge. No scores were turned in. However, several members recorded birdies and some made gobbles for their 18-holes of play. Making birdies were Moya Gray on holes no. 4 and 7; Claudia McNair on no. 6; Mary Englehart on no. 7; and Lenore Goode, Janet Miller and Asalea Wright all on no. 3. Coming up with gobbles were Englehart, and Gray on no. 7; Miller and Goode on no. 3; and Harriet Nowotny on no. 18. There will be another play day this Tuesday, April 24. Play will begin at 9 a.m. Signup is in the Pro Shop. Tournament play for scores will begin on May 8. |
