| THESE THREE STUDENTS were the
top placers for the Cortez Middle School 100-Mile Club T-shirt
Design Contest. The top three were (left to right): Miles
McDonald (first), Anthony Presnell (third), and Amanda Schneider
(second). The first-place design will be used on the official
T-shirt of the club and the second-place design on the
certificate. The 50-Mile Club or 100-Mile Club are open to new
members all year. The goal is to encourage students, parents,
and staff to establish a habit of regular exercise. CMS wanted
to thank Southwest Designs, Golden Corral, Fiesta Theater, and
CMS Art and Physical Education Departments for prizes for the
placers. CMS is encouraging students and parents to participate
together. They are offering free T-shirts to the first
student-parent teams in each grade who complete 100 miles. |
