Voters invited to observe, celebrate election results

Voters interested in celebrating election results with the candidates and/or their supporters have several choices this week.

For partisans, the Democratic Party is hosting a "victory party" at party headquarters at 18 E. Main St.

The Republicans, however, decided to not have a party this year because both the county chairman and vice chairman will be out of town.

The public is also invited to watch for results at the Cortez Journal from 7 p.m. until the wee hours of the morning, which may be as soon as the victors are officially declared.

On Thursday, Nov. 9, the Green Party will be hosting a get-together to "celebrate the politics of joy and justice" from 6 to 8 p.m. at 735 N. Beech St. All Green sympathizers are invited join in. For more information, call 565-8283.
