WORKERS WITH Weeminuche
Construction Authority and Barbour Building Systems set up a
prefabricated jail-cell unit Thursday near the intersection of
Mildred and Empire, site of the county’s new 110-bed detention
facility. There are 16 modules with two cells in each to be used
for high-security inmates. The modules weighed 52,000 pounds
apiece and had to be set in place by a special 125-ton crane
from Albuquerque. |
