MEMBERS OF local special
districts including the Cortez Fire Protection District,
Montezuma County Hospital District, and Cortez Sanitation
District stand united in opposition to Amendment 21 outside the
county annex Tuesday. The amendment would cut property taxes
levied by each special district until many of them would go down
to zero.
