The first Democratic candidate running for Montezuma County treasurer announced her candidacy on Monday. Sandra "Sandy" Greenlee, the current chief deputy in the treasurer’s office, will run for treasurer in the Democratic primary. "I have experience in all functions of the treasurer’s office in tax collections, bank deposits, distribution of taxes, tax sales, redemptions, treasurer’s deeds, bank reconciliations, and balancing the general ledger," Greenlee said in a press release. She said she has worked in the treasurer’s office for more than eight years and served as chief deputy for more than four years. "Our office is efficient, courteous, friendly and helpful. I feel the public is served on a personal basis and if I am elected as Montezuma County Treasurer, I will continue to provide the same service in a professional manner," Greenlee said. |
