Code talker comes to town

SAMUEL SANDOVAL will share his experiences as a Navajo Code Talker during World War II, on Tuesday evenings at the Cortez Cultural Center, starting at 8:30. Sandoval served with the 1st Marine Division at Guadalcanal, Bougainville, Guam, Palua Islands, Enewetak Atoll and Okinawa. He is featured, along with other Code Talkers, in "Warriors: Navajo Code Talkers," which is available at the center. Sandoval’s talks will continue through the month of August at 25 N.
