MILES MCDONALD, 13, of Cortez,

Both boys said they have been interested in rocks and minerals
for two years. Showing the mineral samples is Patrick Haynes of
Cortez, a geologist for Nielsons and a member of the Ute
Mountain Gem and Mineral Society for more than 15 years.
