GUY DREW, who
practices organic farming methods, surveys his tomato plants
Thursday at his farm in McElmo Canyon. This will be his fourth
season farming and selling his goods at the farmers’ market in
Cortez. The market operates from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturdays at
the Cortez Cultural Center on Market Street. A number of
early-season vegetables and herbs are available at the market
now, including broccoli, lettuce, beets, shallots and basil. |
