OVERINGTON, a resident at Mesa View Retirement Home in Cortez,
plays with Rex, a "pound puppy" living at the Cortez
Animal Shelter, on Tuesday. Shelter manager Mary Carter brings
dogs and cats to various retirement homes to visit. Shelter
animals will be at Wendy’s restaurant in Cortez Saturday at a
benefit for the shelter and other organizations.
