Weather man receives plaque for 30 years of service

DOUG CROWLEY (left), meteorologist in charge at the National Weather Service office in Grand Junction, presents a plaque to Arthur Wilson of Yellow Jacket on May 24. Wilson has been providing precipitation and snow measurements taken at Yellow Jacket to the Weather Service for 30 years. His records are published monthly in the Climatological Data and Hourly Precipitation Data Bulletins for Colorado. Also pictured are Arthur’s wife, Esther (second from right) and Becky Klenk, a hydrometeorological technician with the Weather Service in Grand Junction.
