May 17, 2001 Step back in time to a place "where the west still lives" and true bargains can still be found. The Mancos Valley — famous for its western flavor, complete with dirt streets and stagecoach rides — opens its doors Memorial Day weekend with an extravaganza of shopping surprises. Antique dealers, carpet baggers, flea marketers, collectors of rare collectibles and yard sellers from the entire western hemisphere (at least the part an eagle could see from high over the valley) will gather in Mancos for two fun-packed days of tradin’ and sellin’ and swappin’ and savin’ — anything goes (but mostly the goods!). Mark your calendar for this new annual event. Many vendors are expected, giving you the enjoyment of browsing your way through the streets of Mancos. Come enjoy the weather, the sights, the food — and the savings! It’ll take you a whole year to save all the money you’ll save in just this one "Mazy" weekend! |
