Gold Ring Road Riders to rally in Cortez May 25-27

The Gold Wing Road Riders Association is holding a Region F Rally in Cortez, May 25 - 27. Most activities will take place at Montezuma-Cortez High School, located at 206 W. Seventh St.

Events include the Coy Competition; Best Dressed Competition; rider education courses, poker runs, prize money, talent show, parade, ice-cream social and vendors.

The fun begins on Friday, May 25, with registration from noon to 5 p.m., and vendor set-up from 3 to 6. Coy selection will begin at 7 p.m. Opening ceremonies will be at 9 a.m. on May 26; with ongoing activities and seminars throughout the day. The bike show will take place from noon to 2 p.m., followed by a grand parade at 6. The ice-cream social will occupy the rest of the evening.

The Masters’ Breakfast will be held on Sunday from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Riders’ educational activities will run all day. The best-dressed contest will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., and poker runs and tours from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A drill-team demonstration will be held from 3 to 5, with the talent show taking place from 6 to 8 p.m. Closing ceremonies will follow.
