The first baby of the year,
Delaney Rose Maness, is shown with her parents, Steve and Carmen
Maness. Delaney Rose said hello to the world at 4:28 a.m. on
Jan. 1, weighing 7 pounds, 11 1/2 ounces. She measured 20 1/4
inches. Her timely arrival earned her parents several prizes
contributed by area businesses. In addition to the Manesses,
four other area families were blessed with New Year’s Day
arrivals.
